Animal Crossing New Horizons December Events & New Features

December is synonymous with celebrations, and as we saw when we announced the winter update, Animal Crossing is no exception! In the coming days, the islands of the game will be covered with snow, and plans to decorate in preparation for the holidays will be available.

Animal Crossing New Horizons December Events & New Features

Decorations in the colors of winter

New items will be on store shelves during the month of December. Warmer clothes will be available at the Fairy Finger Sisters, while Méli and Mélo will offer you new toys that will make perfect gifts for your villagers!

On the DIY side, the ACNH mushroom DIY recipes will cease to appear on December 1st, and it will be until the 15th that the balloons begin to contain those of the festive series. Until January 6, the decorated trees will drop the Christmas balls needed to make these seasonal items, including decorated Christmas trees, gifts, and candles.

Another new series will be the snowflake. From December to February, grab flakes with a net and make walls, floors, and some winter-colored objects. These shots are also in the balloons.

In addition, as soon as there is enough snow on the ground, around December 11th, you can make snowmen! If you manage to make a perfect Yetitia (the first ball should arrive about at the height of your eyes and the second, your ears), it will give you a seasonal plan, as well as a large snowflake every day for four days. The plans obtained are mostly “ice hotel” style furniture.

Moments to celebrate

On December 24th, it will of course be the toy festival with Rodolphe. We already know that from 6 pm, we can help the reindeer to distribute gifts to all the inhabitants, but since the event will not be available before the scheduled date, we can expect more surprises!

Then, on December 31st, a big countdown will be displayed all day in front of the town hall, but it is at 11 pm that the real festivities will begin. Villagers will gather in the square, Tom Nook, and Isabelle will give you festive hats and accessories, and fireworks will light up the sky on the stroke of midnight.

What’s new in bibittopedia?

For those who play from the beginning without traveling in time, December is the big moment: you can finally finish filling the sections of fish and insects of your bibittopedia! Indeed, you will find the dung beetle rolling snowballs, and the smelt in the river.

Otherwise, the blue morpho and the brookiana troids will fly again on the islands, the dai yu will swim in the rivers of the cliffs, and the sea butterfly, squid, and ribbonfish will be back in the ocean. As for the sea creatures, the only novelty is the lobster, and we will have to wait a little longer to finish filling the museum.
